Another Version of Marvelous

Here we go again with another version of marvelous! We took the second piece of Watercolor Paper with Brusho that Ann worked with on Wednesday and made another marvelous butterfly card. So, this is the one we thought was the prettier of the two pieces of Brusho on Watercolor Paper. We featured the other card in yesterday’s post and you can watch the live stream event here if you haven’t already seen it. We used much of the same stamping supplies on this project as we did on the first project, but how different it looks! They look so different, but we used much of the same...

Do You Need a Masculine Valentine Card?

Do You Need a Masculine Valentine Card?

As crafters, we can sometime stumble on doing those man cards. You know – masculine cards. The ones for your own favorite huMAN. Yes, I know how you crafty ladies are. Many of you love the purples and the pinks. Most of you like all those flowers. But What Does Your Man Like? Now, I shouldn’t bark in generalities. Let’s face it. Nothing is always or never. Nothing is all black or all white. But I can almost guarantee that if you put a car on his card, his heart will go pitter-pat. He doesn’t even have to be a car collector or a car enthusiast for this to work! It must...

A Little Rooster to Crow

We’ve been going through our new Stampin’ Up! stamp sets and realized that we hadn’t made anything with the new Home to Roost stamp set that you can get free with a $50 order. We love the new Stampin’ Blends, but we used the Stampin’ Write Markers for this little chick-a-dee. It was so quick and easy. It only took minutes. We haven’t done a country card in a long, long time – perhaps years. But I’m thinking that this is more contemporary country. Would you call it that? What’s your favorite style? You might like country in your home, but...

Welcome Stampers!

We’ve been getting ready for next week around here. We’re going to have to start thinking ahead because 2019 is kicking off to be a VERY good year! Stampin’ Up! has some pretty grrrrreat free things that you can select with a $50 or $100 buy-in and you, my dear stampers, are loving them! And then there’s that bag… Stampers are loving that bag almost as much as Ann and I are. We figured you could even put a full sized computer keyboard in there! Grrreat for students! But even better for stampers to carry their supplies and or their catalogs. And we’ve even...

Not Your Every Day Sympathy Card

Not Your Every Day Sympathy Card

Why do you think that humans send sympathy cards? Is it to let their loved ones know that you knew the one that left? Maybe. Is it to make them feel bad? No! Might it bring a tear to their eye? Maybe. Today’s card is not your every day sympathy card. We didn’t really know the person that passed away as well as we know the widow. And because she’s got a big road ahead of her with young boys and a daughter in college, we want her to know that someone is there for her. You could also use this card for a friend, but I’m not really barking about that today. I’m...

Saturday Was a Great Mail Day

Do you remember when I was guiding Ann to make almost 80 swaps? She mailed them in two separate packages to Pennsylvania. And one of the swaps arrived in the mail on Saturday. You see, we made 40 of the same cards using sets from the new Occasions catalog. And then we exchanged them with 40 of our friends that, like Ann, who used to be on the Advisory Board for Stampin’ Up! during different years The Advisory Board is a thing of the past now, but for several years, Stampin’ Up! selected up to 8 demonstrators each year to confer with Stampin’ Up!. Ann’s turn was back...

Today’s a Special Day!

We’ve been thinking about how we were going to make a card for our friends for some time now. It’s very hard because they’re moving away. And today is the day that many are stopping by their home to see them before they leave. The wife already retired. She finally convinced her husband that it’s time for him to retire too. That’s a hard thing to do when you like your job. We’re going to miss them so it was important to Ann that some extra effort was involved – even if they had to throw the card away when the movers come. (It would be nice to think...
