Quick & Easy Valentine Card

In case you were born last night and learned how to read this morning, it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow! Do you have your cards made?  Do you have your dinner or movie plans? Valentine’s Day isn’t just about your sweetie.  Have you made a card for a friend?  Here’s one that we did at Stamp Club the other night that was inspired by our friend Patty.  We needed a quick card to round out the night and this was it.  (I shared another card they did in yesterday’s post.) Ann & my favorite huMAN already started celebrating Valentine’s Day early by doing...

Happy Card & Anniversary Video

This has been quite a week!  We’ve been looking forward to today for a long time!  Happy 15th Anniversary with Stampin’ Up! to Ann!  You have no idea how much that means because she never liked to stay at a job more than 5 years before Stampin’ Up! and I got a hold of her. ALL anniversaries are either paper, ink or rubber anniversaries when it comes to Stampin’ Up!.  I don’t even have to look it up. So to kick off the celebrations, we’ve made a video on how to make a happy card.  I think this card is happy, don’t you?  And we’re VERY happy...

Card Design Questions for Send a Card to a Friend Day

Today is Send a Card to a Friend Day and I have some questions! What do you think about first when you sit down to start making a greeting card?  I start thinking about it long before I lay down in our stamp room and tell Ann what to make.  Do you start with the layout?  The stamps?  The colors? Right now, I’m in the middle of a discussion with my Design Team on what card to send out to our clients.  (We send you a card when you shop with us that you can keep or reuse to send to a friend.)  My gal pal Doodles and I are in deep discussions about this even now. She’s a Southern Dog...

DIY Winter Olympics Greeting Card Video

In case you weren’t aware, the Winter Olympics start tonight!  This dog is just glad that he doesn’t live in Sochi, but that’s another story.  (Read how they’re treating their dogs here.) If you’re wanting to learn how to make an accurate Olympics card, we have a video we did for the Summer Olympics in 2012 that might help you.  I’d like to see if I like rounded corners better. But first, here’s the original card. The colors?  We thought these colors worked best.  Click on the links below to take you to the card stock for a perfect match: Pacific...

Valentine Card for a Shoe Loving Friend

Valentine Card for a Shoe Loving Friend

Do you have a friend who loves shoes?  I mean LOVES shoes?  Some girls just LOVE SHOES!!  You know who you are!  Janet!  Robin!  Karen!  And those girls just get giddy over a shoe card! And isn’t that the reaction you just want to get when you make someone a card? It’s easy to make the card match the person.  You can match the subject.  Like if they like roses, you can put roses on the front.  (or shoes!)  If they like blue, then you can make the card blue.  And if they like both, you can make a card with blue roses!  Now, where you could buy a card with blue roses!?! And it...

Video on How to Use the Hexagon Hive Thinlets Die

Remember when I showed you that SWEET yellow card a few days ago?  This one? It was in this post.  (And that’s where you can go to find the supply list AND how this card was started from scraps.) Well, we got a few phone calls from interested parties – mainly my gal pal Doodles – and so I coerced Ann to make a quick little video about that die.  Especially when you see our FIRST attempt at using it in the beginning of the video. Let us know what YOU think because we are hot for hexagons around here!  Especially the new Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die. Watch this on You Tube here....

Is This Your Stamping Year?

Who were YOU kissing at midnight last night?  My favorite huMAN has to work today so Ann was giving ME a kiss and a cuddle when the clock struck 12.  She told me that she wants to take long walks with me more often this year.  And she’s going to listen to my advice more.  That’s a grrrreat New Year’s Resolution! Is this the year that you’re thinking of taking my advice too?  Because I think you probably do a lot for your loved ones and deserve a little stamping time for yourself.  But it can be hard knowing where to start.  I’m thinking we have just the answer...

Punch Art Santa for Your Candy Canes

Are you looking for a little gifty thing to give to your friends and co-workers without having to get a loan to do it?  Well, this is just the impressive present to give!  Punch Art Santa Claus Candy Canes! We saw a cute Santa out there somewhere, but we don’t know how they attached him to the candy cane.  And, of course, I had to put my little artful canine twist on it so that we could share it with all our friends.  In fact, we did this with our Yuba City Stamp Club earlier this week. We used Blushing Bride Card Stock and Blushing Bride Ink, but you could also use Crumb Cake Card...

Lingerie Card

This is one of my favorite cards.  It’s not hard to make and it only works for just the right occasion. But now that the Petal Cone Die is on the Clearance Rack Blitz list, it might be gone soon.  And if you don’t grab it now, you might not be able to impress your friends with this easier than it looks card. Don’t you think it would be the perfect bridal shower card?  Or lingerie party invitation?  Or the perfect birthday card for the trendy lady? This dog thinks so! Some of these items are not available anymore, but there are some things you can swap out.  But the Petal...
