StamperDog <![CDATA[A Little Gift for Tonight]]> 2017-12-09T11:24:14Z 2017-12-09T12:15:25Z There’s some fun planned for tonight and I’m going to be part of it!

Because I helped wrap the present!

There’s going to be an ornament exchange and dinner today with the ladies that play bunko together. Ann ordered a nice ornament from Amazon and I inspired her on how to make the box look pretty.

Here’s the ornament that’s inside.

Isn’t he cute? You can get one here if you’d like.

It came in a plain white box. And this is how we decorated it.

Christmas Gift Box

I just love that black and white ribbon. It’s on the list of things that won’t be coming back once they’ve sold out of the Holiday Catalog.

And the evergreen springs aren’t something I’d normally put on a card. But they’re perfect for packaging.

Christmas Gift Box

There was a label on the top. I knew that it would tear the box if we tried to tear it up so we covered it with the Washi Tape that’s going away too. a little bit of copper on either side of the ribbon is just right.

So do you like it? Do you think it will do well? I hope so.

Of course, I think Ann’s going to try to end up with it.

post it note

StamperDog <![CDATA[My 3 Favorite Types of Christmas Card]]> 2017-12-08T12:05:18Z 2017-12-08T12:05:18Z Do you have a preference for what kind of Christmas cards you receive?

Oh, come on! Some people like everything. Some people like some things more than others:

  • Traditional colors
  • Non-traditional colors
  • Your favorite color
  • Handmade card
  • Vintage card

Well, yesterday Ann hit the trifecta of Christmas cards! What’s that mean? She got her 3 favorite types of cards!

So what are her favorites? Here they are!

  • Handmade card, of course, tops the list.

And this one came from my gal pal Doodles and her humans.

Silver Christmas Card

Then these next two are interchangeable. And yes, they came too!

  • A photo card
  • A Mary Engelbreit card

So, back to Doodles’ card, don’t you just love the detail of the snowflake? It’s so awesome in Silver Foil!

But there’s only one problem.,.

Silver Christmas Card

The Winter Wonderland Embossing Folder is not going to be around much longer. In fact, if it sells out in the next couple weeks, you won’t be able to get one!

And here’s what else we’ll be saying good-bye to – so get them while you can!

There are a LOT of things so I’m going to sign off first before I list them. If you’re in the shopping mood, please use our current host shopping code CJJ4FAFF so that we can include a small gift in with the handmade card we send all our online clients.

Wednesdays are a bit wild around here. Ann has an online class every Wednesday. Then at 1pm every Wednesday (Pawcific Time), she goes online to share stamping projects and/or stamping tips and techniques with you on Facebook and You Tube.

Then my friend Barbara comes over to lend a hand in all the wildness. (Yesterday they planned out the new Sweet Treats for the upcoming Occasions Seasonal Catalog.) Then it’s off to …. well, you get the picture.

It’s not always this busy around here, but Wednesdays are pretty crazy. And my favorite huMAN and I put up with all of it!

So last night, Ann got out some of her new stamps that will be coming out in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Seasonal Catalog the first of the year and designed a special card – just for him.

Square Watercolor CardCardmaking Tips

She made it with the new Petals Pallette stamp set that will be in the Occasions catalog that starts on January 3rd. It’s a nice stamp set with greetings and shapes that you can use the new Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers on.

(We’ll be sending Occasions Seasonal Catalogs and Sale-A-bration to our current clients soon so make sure you’re on the list!)

I like the way she layered these colors together on the flowers:

  • Calypso Coral Dark
  • Calypso Coral Light
  • Crumb Cake Light

Bet you didn’t see that Crumb Cake, did you? She even used the Color Lifter a little. You don’t have to just mix the same color. You can blend any of the Stampin’ Blends together!

And that’s not the only place she mixed it up! Here’s what she used on the leaves!

  • Old Olive Light
  • Old Olive Dark
  • Crumb Cake Light

It just kind of make those colors more earthy.

And, of course, she used her favorite paper to blend color on – the Shimmery White.

Here’s another tip! She stamped the greeting onto Whisper White and punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch. She also punched the Basic Black with the same punch so she took our Stampin’ Trimmer and trimmed a bit off the Whisper White just above and below the greeting.

Of course, you noticed that she cut the right side off that too and then topped it off with a Brights Enamel Shape.

Square Watercolor Card

She was working that trimmer!

We love little square cards. We sometimes think of them as Lunchbox Cards because they’re a small love note that would fit inside a lunch box. PLUS they’ll fit inside a regular envelope so that you don’t have to pay extra postage for shipping a square card.

And now that he’s helping us with our mail, we especially like to keep him happy.

Isn’t it pretty?

You can get everything except the stamp set today. Then ask Santa for a gift certificate for the stamp set. We do those!

And both of them wrote my name in invisible ink so that Ann could bask in the spotlight.

(Those of you who shopped with us last month should be receiving your happy mail from us today or perhaps tomorrow.)

This card came from Ann’s friend, Shelby, who works at the Stampin’ Up! home office in Riverton, Utah. Ann’s sweet on lots of Stampin’ Up! employees, but it surely was nice of Shelby to think about Ann enough to send her a handmade congratulations card for our hard work last year.

You see, Ann was in the top 70 Demonstrators in the United States and in the top 140 Globally thanks to you and our wonderful team of 24/7 Stampers… and me, of course. Okay, and my favorite huMAN too.

Congratulations Card

Do you ever get handmade cards in the mail from people you work with? Maybe you should think about that. Ann bought me a new bed for all my hard work and I’m loving it!

So about Shelby’s card…

We have this set of Thinlits, but I don’t think that we’ve ever used them! SHAME!

And she put all those diamonds on it! WOW!

We bought one of those little bud vases at Target from their Magnolia collection. It sure does look good with her beautiful card! (We’re so glad that the couple from HGTV’s Fixer Upper paired up with Target. Maybe we’ll get more of them!)

Congratulations Card

Stamping Simulcast

We’re going to be doing a live event for you from Facebook and You Tube today. I hope you can join us while I coach Ann on making a little gift of chocolate to give to her favorite humans. (Not for dogs, of course.)

We’ll be on at 1pm Pawcific Time (2pm Mountain – 3pm Central – 4pm Eastern)

You can join in or go early to register for a reminder for Facebook here.

And if you’re not on Facebook, we’ll be on You Tube at the same time. You can join in or go early to register for a reminder for You Tube here.

We’re doing our best to do this on a regular basis, so just think…“Wednesdays @ One Pawcific”.

So, enter today’s quick and easy Christmas card idea.

Navy Christmas Card

Ann and I had been thinking of a way to use the Night of Navy gingham ribbon and this just seemed to work.

And you might already have the Better Together stamp set in your collection. A Staparatus would make this a breeze to make in multiples.

NOTE: The Stamparatus preorders start here today at 2pm Mountain time (1pm Pacific – 3pm Central – 4pm Eastern) for delivery on or after March 19th. Read yesterday’s bark for ordering tips.

We could’ve just used the one strip of houses in the framelits, but isn’t it even more interesting that we have two different sets of architecture? Solid houses on the left. Detailed houses on the right.

Navy Christmas CardRemember that we’ll be doing our live online event tomorrow at 1pm on Facebook and our You Tube channel. Click either link to get a reminder if you’re not already on our reminder list.

We’d love to spend some time with you! And if I’m really good, Ann will bring me on at the end. (She secretly loves it when I give her a kiss on the cheek. I know she does.)

All our online shopping guests get a handmade reusable card in their mailbox AND at least 4 free project tutorials in their inbox.

Remember to use our current shopping code CJJ4FAFF. when you’re visiting our online store so that we can give you even more:

StamperDog <![CDATA[Things You Should Know About the NEW Stamparatus Preorder]]> 2017-12-05T21:07:46Z 2017-12-04T12:03:34Z If you missed your chance to order the hot new Stamparatus last month, they’re going to give you another chance… but with changes!

If you’ve forgotten what it is, it’s a specialized stamp positioner that will help you mass produce intricate stamping projects with ease!

Here’s a little video from my friend Carrie to remind you why this is so popular that they sold out the first preorder window in 15 minutes!

What’s the same

  • The second order window starts at 2pm Mountain Time TOMORROW, 12/5/17 & ends 12/30/17.
    • That’s 1pm Pawcific – 3pm Central – 4pm Eastern
  • Orders will be sent out in the order they’re received.
  • Your credit card will not be charged until your order is shipped.

What’s changed

Last time the preorders that will be received in early January sold out in 15 minutes. So they’re changing things to make them go smoothly.

  • When the preorder starts, the window will stay open until December 30th no matter how many are sold.
  • Beginning March 19th, Stampin’ Up! will ship the Stamparatuses out in the order received. HOWEVER, because of the number of them ordered, they may not all be shipped out at that time. (GOOD REASON TO GET YOUR ORDER IN EARLY.)
  • If you ordered during the first window, you will be able to order 1 in the second window, BUT all stampers, will only be able to order ONE from here on out until they become a part of our regular inventory.
  • There will be no third window now, so if you don’t pre-order yours by December 30th, you’ll have to wait until the new catalog comes out June 1, 2018.

How it works and how to get in super early

Here’s the easiest way to get yours when they release them at 1pm Pawcific
(2pm Mountain – 3pm Central – 4pm Eastern

  1. Be sure you have an online shopping account with me IN ADVANCE OF THE SALE. You can do that here.
  2. Log in to your online shopping cart a few minutes before the sale starts (1pm Pacific – 2pm Mountain – 3pm Central – 4 pm Eastern).
  3. Refresh your screen at the top of the hour and look for the STAMPARATUS RESERVATION BUTTON.
  4. Click that and follow these easy directions to reserve your Stamparatus.
  5. In MARCH 2018, you will receive an email that says that your shopping cart is waiting with your Stamparatus in it.
  6. You can then add anything to it so that you can earn Sale-A-Bration items!
  7. Your credit card will not be charged until you complete your shopping in March.

StamperDog <![CDATA[Christmas Card for Your Favorite Musician]]> 2017-12-03T09:23:14Z 2017-12-03T09:16:30Z Good Sunday Morning, everyone!

Do you have a musician in your family? Or maybe your best friend plays an instrument? Do you sing in the choir and need a Christmas Card for your Choir Director?

Well, this may just be the card. Even though it has some bling on there, it could even be a Masculine Christmas Card.

Drummer Boy Christmas CardAnd….GASP! this stamp set and coordinating framelits will be gone after January 2nd and possibly before because they’re on the retiring list.

If you just want the stamp set, you can save 10%. If you just want the Musical Instrument Framelits, you can save 10%

You can also save 10% on the bundles because we always give you 10% off when you bundle (so it’s not an ADDITIONAL 10% off.)

But I’m going to tell you a little secret. Ann was going to tie a bow or knot in the middle of that Black Ribbon, but she forgot! OOPS!

She put the red layer down with Fast Fuse so she was committed. So instead of tying it all the way around and securing it between layers, she cut a straight piece and then attached the ribbon with Fast Fuse.

But what to do instead of a bow or knot? Metallic Shapes to the rescue!

Drummer Boy Christmas Card

We LOVE that Black Shimmer Ribbon! It’s so elegant!

Of course, you could just give this to someone who likes music – or maybe their favorite Christmas song is Little Drummer Boy.

StamperDog <![CDATA[What We Made on You Tube and Facebook Live]]> 2017-11-30T11:22:24Z 2017-11-30T11:03:54Z Yesterday was a banner day and I hope you were there to enjoy it with us.

Did everything go right? Nope…probably because I wasn’t right there in the room to direct Ann. But she did okay anyway.

She’s been doing live online presentations for 5 or 6 years now. You just haven’t seen them if you weren’t part of our VIP stamping community, the Master Stampers.

But now there’s Facebook Live and the ability to go live on You Tube. Things change. And for the first time yesterday, Ann went live on both of them at the same time.

Other than pushing a button that turned the audio off for about a minute, she did okay. AND she remembered to bring me out at the end…just as you would honor any director.

If you missed it, you can watch it here…and then I’ll tell you where the correction is. (Those of you reading this in your email inbox, can click here to come see.)

Yesterday’s Live Online Presentation

When Ann talks about this tag, she reported that the tag topper die she used at the top was part of the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits that the reindeer comes from.

It’s in the Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies that are on page 34 of the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Seasonal Catalog. You can see them both here along with the stamp set she used:

Are you wondering how we finished the card we started on the video? Well, here it is…

Snowflake Christmas CardDo you like it? We featured Island Indigo and Whisper White. Another upgrade would be to use Shimmery White Card Stock either for the whole card or just for the imprint of the snowflake.

But don’t you like the bling we added?

Snowflake Christmas Card

We colored the Clear Faceted Gem and Rhinestones with the Dark Bermuda Bay Blends Marker. Although it’s not the same color as Island Indigo, it’s close enough to coordinate.

I love it! Don’t you?

Card Making Supplies

Here’s what we used to make the card. You know, we send all our online shoppers a reusable handmade card and 4 cardmaking project tutuorials. Those that use the current host code – CJJ4FAFF – we’ll also add a little something extra in. You know – a little gifty of supplies.
