Happy Birthday, Mr. Lincoln

I get so confused about those February President’s birthdays.  I know that President Lincoln was born on February 12th and President Washington was born on February 22nd.  (And Ann, the Vice-President of our house is born on February 17th.)

But the schools were closed on Monday for Lincoln’s Birthday which is TODAY.  Huh?

I don’t know how you humans can keep it all straight!  How do you know when to go to work?  How do you know when you can go check for free samples at the bank?

The good news is that both Presidents got upgraded to celebrate on Ann’s birthday this year.  And YOU probably get Ann’s birthday off too!  WOO HOO!

And I do know that my gal pal Doodles & 24/7 Stamper Jackie Fraser each sent Ann some cool cards we’ll be sharing soon.  In the meantime, let me share one of last night’s club cards.  There was no clear favorite last night.  It was pretty much a 3 way tie between yesterday’s card, the card below and another heart card that I hope we’ll be sharing later.

Free stamps

Except for one thing!  We were going to have them color in the flowers underneath the greeting!  OOPS!  It must’ve been all that confusion about Lincoln’s Birthday.  I’m sure of it because I’m sure that free stamp from the You’re Lovely stamp set would look even better with a little color on it!

Here’s what we used on this Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Smokey Slate card.  And the Honeycomb Embossing Folder is on sale this week for 25% off!  That’s just $5.96!

Maybe we should call this our Secret Garden Party Card!
